Target mode
Type a weight and see the plates for each side.
You know the target. You're not sure which plates are still on the rack, whether you've got enough blues, or if the bar is already loaded wrong from the last lifter. Mental arithmetic mid-session is slow, and getting it wrong wastes time or loads the bar incorrectly.
Plate Calc shows the load clearly: each side, your equipment, no guesswork.

Type a weight and see the plates for each side.

Add plates one at a time and watch the total update.
If your inventory can't quite reach the target, the app shows the nearest load you can make with what you have.
Pinch to zoom on the bar illustration when you want a closer look.
Count how many of each plate you own — kilo bumpers, pound bumpers, or both.
Save your bars: 20 kg, 15 kg, technique bars, trap bar, or any custom weight.
Turn on competition collars when you want 2.5 kg collars included in the total.
Gym profiles keep a separate setup for each place you train: home garage, commercial gym, hotel gym, meet warm-up room. Switch profile and the inventory, bars and calculator state come with you.

Show targets and totals in kg or lb in Settings. That's separate from which bumpers you own, so you can display in pounds while loading with kilo plates, or the other way around.

Yes. Gym profiles, plate counts and saved bars are stored on your device.
No. Purchases use your Apple ID; Restore purchases is in Settings.
A successful load — the app found a valid plate breakdown with your current setup. Repeating the same load doesn't use another free slot.
Use a gym profile for that meet: set the bar weight, collars and plates you have on the day. Different federations and lifts use different bars — you configure that per profile rather than a fixed "competition mode."
Not yet. Plate Calc is iPhone only for now.
